You’re a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong sense of financial control, contract management, and project costing. You’re calm under pressure, have strong communication skills and enjoy working cross-functionally with teams, contractors and clients. What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll take charge of project cost management, from estimating and budgeting to forecasting and reporting. You’ll handle quantity take-offs, manage contracts, evaluate tenders and claims, and process variation orders. Working closely with project teams, you’ll track profitability, support procurement, and conduct site visits to verify progress and costs. You’ll also mentor a Junior Quantity Surveyor and ensure documentation is always accurate and compliant. It’s a critical role where your attention to detail and commercial insight will make a real impact.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be based at their office and facilities in Epping, Cape Town, working Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays. This is a well-established company in the electrical sector with a national footprint and over 200 employees. The Cape Town office has a close-knit team culture, with a collaborative environment and strong emphasis on internal growth. The company is an industry leader, experiencing steady growth with a reputation for quality and custom solutions across multiple sectors.

What you’ll need

A Matric certificate plus a degree, diploma or BTech in Quantity Surveying is required. You’ll bring 5–10 years of quantity surveying experience, ideally in the electrical or construction space, with solid knowledge of estimating, contract administration, and cost control. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
