What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll take charge of financial administration, controlling, and reporting across all project locations for a major EU-funded cultural initiative. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and asset accounting, processing financial transactions in SAP, and reconciling outstanding items. You’ll oversee budgets, prepare financial reports and forecasts, support audits, and ensure compliance with German and EU financial regulations. You’ll also help refine internal administrative processes, support HR tasks such as onboarding and payroll cost updates, and contribute to process digitalisation and efficiency improvements.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll join an internationally renowned cultural institute, offices are based in Parktown, Gauteng. This is a new division starting up due to the new projects. You’ll be part of a passionate organisation committed to meaningful cultural exchange and impact. It’s an in office role with a one day work from home after probation. Hours are 9am to 6pm and Friday’s ending at 14:30.

What you’ll need

You’ll bring a completed commercial qualification or degree in finance or accounting, with at least 2–4 years’ professional accounting experience. You’ll have sound Excel skills and ideally SAP experience. You’ll have a structured and reliable working style, and a keen eye for accuracy. Excellent English is required, proficiency in German would be ideal but if not, then you’ll need to have a willingness to learn German which the company will pay for.
