We’re seeking a business intelligence maestro to play an important role in our shared services division that reports directly to the UK and services a number of companies within a group.
You’ll be a vital player in shared services division that facilities the finance function for a number of companies/business units in the food industry. You will report directly to the Shared Services Finance Manager but will work closely with all Finance Managers. The role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely reporting, implementing effective internal controls, and administering all the financial system platforms. The role will also involve various ad hoc projects such as system implementations, and technical accounting assistance.

You’ll prepare and distribute financial management reports, including monthly management packs/TB’s, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis. You’ll implement Power BI reporting to analyse financial data, consolidations and provide insights to management. You’ll collaborate to design and implement internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practises to mitigate financial risks.
You’ll also be the custodian of financial system platforms and ERP systems which include D365, Syspro (to be phased out and moved to Xero), Micros, idealPOS. You’ll participate in cross-functional projects such as process improvements, system implementations and Power BI Reporting. Liaising with internal and external auditors for system processes, walk-throughs and controls effectiveness testing will be part of your role too.
This is an in office job. The core working hours are 8am to 5pm however there is some flexibility.

We’re looking for a CA (SA) with 5 years post articles commercial experience with a strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles and financial reporting. You’ll need to be systems/tech savvy – you’ll be working on Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualisation tools like Vena and Power BI is essential to create insightful reports and dashboards.
You’ll have excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends and anomalies. Your Excel skills need to be advanced for data manipulation, modelling and analysis. You’ll have knowledge of internal control frameworks and experience in implementing and monitoring controls. You’re experienced with ERP systems such as Syspro, D364, Xero and so on.
Attention to detail is your thing and you thrive in managing multiple tasks and deadlines and you’re a great team player. Your project management and troubleshooting skills are advanced and you’re naturally organised and work well in a fast paced environment.
You’ll receive a basic salary with a 15% to retirement fund which is compulsory. Medical aid is by choice. A possibility at earning a bonus which is at management’s discretion and paid in December. There is a food voucher every month to purchase meals directly from your company. There are 20 days annual leave and after 5 years the option to take a once off 30 day sabbatical.
