CNC Machinist

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape

Salary: Market related

Your qualification got your foot in the door. This role will turn you into the machinist everyone wants to hire.

Is this you?

You’ve built a solid engineering foundation and you’re ready for the next step. Rather than spending years doing the same repetitive work, you’re looking for a place where experienced engineers will invest in your growth. You enjoy solving problems, working with precision and seeing the results of your work come to life. Most importantly, you’re curious, driven and excited to keep learning every day.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

From programming components using HyperMill and Mazatrol to setting up CNC machines and producing high-precision parts, every day will challenge you to develop your technical skills. You’ll work with Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls, interpret engineering drawings, perform quality inspections and prepare tooling for production. The best part? You’ll be learning from highly experienced specialists who believe in developing talent, giving you exposure to world-class manufacturing processes and technology that will strengthen your career for years to come.

Where you’ll be doing it

This opportunity is with an internationally recognised engineering business that designs and manufactures advanced automated machinery used across the global food industry. Innovation, precision engineering and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. The team is passionate about developing skilled people and creating an environment where those who show initiative can grow into true technical experts.

What you’ll need

A Mechanical Engineering Diploma or relevant Fitting and Turning or Toolmaking qualification is essential. Basic CAD knowledge (Inventor, SolidWorks or similar), the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and confidence using inspection equipment will set you up for success. A valid driver’s licence and your own transport are required.

What you’ll get

This is more than your next job. It’s an opportunity to fast-track your career while working with advanced CNC technology, learning from industry experts and building skills that will make you highly sought after in precision manufacturing. Along with a market-related salary, you’ll join a team that genuinely invests in your development.
