What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

In this role, you’ll take responsibility for developing specifications, design reports and functional documentation, while conducting calculations and detailed design activities. You’ll support the full project lifecycle, from concept development and trade-off studies to onsite engineering support during fabrication, commissioning and implementation. You’ll manage contractors, suppliers and change requests, ensuring compliance with national and international standards as well as project quality, safety and risk plans. Along the way, you’ll contribute to tenders, monitor budgets, and help resolve technical challenges to keep projects on track and clients satisfied.

What you’ll need

You’ll hold a B.Tech, B.Sc or B.Eng (pref) degree in Electrical Engineering and be registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with ECSA. With 6-8 years of technical experience in marine mining, oil and gas, marine infrastructure or heavy (submersible) engineering, you bring strong CAD skills, proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and E-Plan, and working knowledge of MS Project. You’re self-motivated, disciplined, willing to travel and work flexibly, with the ability to deliver quality engineering solutions in demanding environments.
