Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

Salary: Market related

Targets to smash, clients to win, and a technical edge that sets you apart!

Is this you?

You’re a natural relationship builder who thrives in a target-driven environment and enjoys being out with clients rather than behind a desk. With strong interpersonal skills and a consultative approach, you know how to influence decisions and close deals. You’re self-motivated, resilient, and energised by achieving results. While your technical background supports your credibility, it’s your sales instinct and ability to connect with people that truly sets you apart.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

In this role, you’ll take ownership of growing sales within your territory by building strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. From developing strategic sales plans to managing the full sales cycle, you’ll be at the forefront of driving revenue. You’ll engage clients through regular visits, deliver compelling presentations, and provide tailored technical solutions. You will enjoy this because no two days are the same, and your ability to influence outcomes directly impacts your success and earnings.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client, a leader in the industry with a legacy of innovation, invites you to be part of their dynamic team. You will be based at their offices in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Aiming to exceed customer expectations by providing inventive, dependable products and solutions, backed by industry-leading warranties and expert service, all at a competitive price. Their foundational values centre on integrity, a genuine passion for their customers, and conducting business with transparency and trust, upholding the highest ethical standards. Your week will typically kick off with a Monday sales meeting to align on targets and strategy, but your focus will be out in the field where it matters most. You’ll spend the majority of your time meeting existing and prospective clients, building relationships and uncovering new opportunities. While there is flexibility around being in the office, client engagement will always take priority.

What you’ll need

To excel in this role, you’ll need a N3-6/S1-4 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent. Your minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the electrical or technical industry, but, above all, exceptional sales acumen. They are looking for someone who is not only a go-getter but also a personable and engaging team player. This will position you as a standout candidate. Fluency in English is essential. Your ability to work under pressure, negotiate effectively, and employ analytical problem-solving skills will be key to your success. Familiarity with automation or drive systems is advantageous, but a willingness to learn is key.

What you’ll get

In addition to a competitive salary, our client offers a basic salary plus benefits, performance-based incentives and a chance to be at the forefront of technical sales excellence. Join a team that values your contributions and enjoy a supportive work environment that fosters professional growth.
