What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

As part of a small but focused finance team, you’ll handle the day-to-day financial administration that keeps everything running smoothly. From managing accounts receivable and payable to ensuring timesheets are correct and invoices are prepared on time, you’ll play a key role in the billing process. You’ll liaise with project managers, resolve queries, and keep debtor days under control. Bank reconciliations, expenses, and liaising with payroll providers will also sit within your remit, alongside supporting VAT preparation and ad hoc reporting.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking IT consultancy that’s based in the UK and setting up a Cape Town office in Century City. There are currently 2 employees in Cape Town that you’ll be joining. This role will offer hybrid working. The company delivers top notch digital transformation and innovative solutions to well-known international organisations. What you’ll need

You’ll bring at least three years’ experience in a finance assistant, accounts assistant or bookkeeping type role having experience in all duties listed above. We’d like you’d to have a financial Certificate or diploma. A strong grasp of bookkeeping fundamentals is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and confidentiality. Xero experience is a bonus, while strong Excel skills are advantageous. Most importantly, you’ll bring accuracy, reliability and the confidence to work autonomously.
