Financial Assistant

Location: Stellenbosch

Salary: Market related

If peak-season payment pressure tests every detail, then your accuracy keeps producer transactions reliably on track.

Is this you?

Accuracy matters to you because every payment, allocation and document has a real operational consequence. You are organised, dependable and comfortable collaborating with colleagues when seasonal pressure rises. A careful approach to controls and deadlines comes naturally.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

Managing producer-related transactions, you will set up payment details, allocate grower prices and process payments across the banking platform and logistics system. You will compare imported fruit invoices with purchase orders, secure the required approval and issue remittances and payslips. Ad hoc reconciliations, financial reporting and wider finance support will complete your day-to-day scope.

Where you’ll be doing it

Based in Stellenbosch, you will join a fruit export finance team in a full-time, in-office role from 08:00 – 17:00. Peak season may require extended hours, with close teamwork and sound internal controls helping to keep time-sensitive payments and documentation on track.

What you’ll need

A Diploma or Certificate in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent qualification, will provide the required foundation. Two years of experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred, while agriculture or export industry exposure would be advantageous. You should be able to work accurately with invoices, purchase orders, reconciliations and payment documentation.

What you’ll get

The role offers practical exposure to the full producer payment cycle within the agricultural export environment. You will build experience across transaction processing, reconciliations, reporting, internal controls and finance systems while working closely with colleagues whose combined effort keeps seasonal operations moving.
