What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be leading the electrical department with full operational oversight. Ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget and to the highest standards. Your days will be a mix of project planning, site visits, technical reviews, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll oversee contract management, pricing, safety, quality control, and compliance. Driving performance and improvements across the board. It’s a role with influence, variety, and visibility, where your expertise will directly shape success and growth.

What you’ll need

A BTech or BSc in Electrical Engineering, along with 10+ years’ experience in the electrical industry, preferably in senior project or operational roles. Project management qualifications and registration with SACPCMP or ECSA will set you apart. You’ll need a solid grasp of contracts (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC), SHEQ and ISO standards, SANS 10142, and the ability to lead teams, manage risks, and deliver operational efficiency.
