You have at least 6 – 8 years HR generalist experience in a corporate type environment and you’re looking for that next career challenge in a developing industry. What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

Reporting to the Country Manager, you’ll manage the full HR lifecycle for a small sized staff compliment that is part of a bigger international group – from recruitment, onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, to performance management and employee relations. You’ll play a key role in developing training programmes, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with labour law and group policies. Your day-to-day will also involve handling contracts, policies, disciplinary processes and HR reporting. Beyond HR, you’ll provide office management support, coordinate events, and ensure smooth administration that enables the wider team to thrive.

Where you’ll be doing it

There are flexible working hours and two days’ work from home per week, the rest of the time you’ll be at the Morningside (Sandton) office. It’s a small but friendly bunch of people and the Country Manager is very keen to encourage a fun and engaging workplace which he’ll be looking for support and guidance on.

What you’ll need

A 3 year HR diploma or degree with minimum 6 years HR generalist experience especially having done everything as mentioned above. We’re looking for someone that has experience in either renewable energy, engineering, construction type industries, it needs to be a technically related industry but corporate and not blue collar. You have a “can do” attitude and are action orientated, you get things done understanding and respecting the urgency of matters. You have a warm and welcoming personality but are also confident and able to manage yourself well in tough situations. You’re the person the employees go to when they need to talk or need assistance. We’re looking for someone that’s a real go getter and eager for a new challenge where they can make a positive difference. You will need to have your own car and driver’s license.
