Install, upgrade and fix problems with computer systems and servers. Create virtual machines. Help with keeping programs and systems up to date. Assist with making changes to the company’s network. Take care of the Wi-Fi system. Manage access to the company’s computer systems and general cybersecurity. Ensure important data is backed up and can be restored if needed. Keep records and instructions on how the company’s systems, programs, application and servers work. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of technical tasks, stimulating and satisfying cutting-edge technology, a variety of responsibilities and knowing that you are contributing and playing an important part in security.Where you’ll be doing it
On site in Rondebosch at an Asset Management company, that has been a big player in South Africa’s financial world for over 25 years. They handle money for their clients and make sure it’s invested in a responsible and safe way.What you’ll need
Joining our team, we’d love for you to bring 5 to 7 years of technical support experience, a knack for navigating Microsoft software and Windows computers, and your familiarity with Microsoft Hyper-V, network switches, and cloud backups. You know your way around IP cameras and specialized computer backups. A know-how in specific technologies like Exchange Hybrid and PowerShell is a game-changer, while being well-versed in ideally Microsoft Azure and definitely Intune.What you’ll get
