People Business Partner

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Salary: Market related + benefits
Duration: Permanent

Shape the people strategy behind one of SA’s most ambitious renewable energy portfolios.

Is this you?

You’re a strategic thinker who thrives on turning business goals into people solutions. As a natural collaborator, you build strong relationships across the board and love coaching leaders to elevate team performance. Meticulous with detail, but always with a broader vision in mind, you balance structure with adaptability and confidentiality with influence. You’re solutions-driven, highly organised and keen to work in a fast-paced environment where transformation is real, and your voice matters.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll partner closely with managers and leadership across the business to align HR strategy with business objectives. From driving leadership development and talent retention to optimising performance management systems and shaping incentive schemes, you’ll be central to enhancing the employee experience. You’ll also support workforce planning, diversity initiatives and learning strategies, while contributing to policy design and change management. This role will see you influencing not just HR, but how the business grows through its people.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a dynamic player in the renewable energy sector, with a growing portfolio of wind, solar and battery projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. With offices in Cape Town and Gqeberha, their culture is agile, values-driven and growth-oriented. Operating in a fast-expanding industry, they pride themselves on technical excellence, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability. This is an environment where your impact on people will help power communities for generations.

What you’ll need

You bring a relevant degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar, backed by at least 8 years’ HR experience, including 5 in a Business Partner or HR Generalist role. You’re confident with MS365 tools and ideally familiar with HRIS/ERP platforms. Your strengths lie in performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, and HR strategy, with a deep understanding of SA labour practices.

What you’ll get

You’ll join a company on a high-growth trajectory, offering meaningful work, hybrid flexibility, and strong alignment between values and leadership. With a market-related salary, incentive exposure and a supportive team, this is a standout role for a senior HR professional ready to influence the renewable energy future.
