Plant Manager

Location: Middelburg, Mpumalanga

Salary: Market related

Ready for more ownership in renewable energy? Lead the operations, people and performance behind a growing portfolio of wind projects.

Is this you?

You’re a decisive, hands-on operations leader who combines technical depth with commercial judgement. Safety comes first, while strong people leadership, problem-solving and calm management of shifting priorities enable you to deliver results across complex sites.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

Taking overall responsibility for Balance of Plant O&M across five wind projects, you’ll lead site teams and contractors, drive plant availability and long-term asset health, and manage maintenance plans, budgets, spares, warranties and CMMS activities. You’ll oversee HSE compliance, outages, work permits, transmission code requirements and KPIs including MTTR, MTBF and availability. You’ll enjoy the scale, autonomy and measurable impact of keeping critical renewable energy infrastructure performing at its best.

Where you’ll be doing it

Join an established international renewable and low-carbon energy business with a rapidly expanding Southern African portfolio spanning wind, solar, battery storage and hydropower. This is a site-based environment where operational excellence, safety and high-performance teamwork matter.

What you’ll need

A minimum NQF Level 6 National Diploma in a relevant field is essential, ideally Electrical Engineering. Bring 10+ years’ experience, strong O&M knowledge and expertise in electrical infrastructure, substations and overhead lines. Renewable energy, wind O&M and large-team leadership experience are highly advantageous, alongside a driver’s licence and willingness to travel rurally.

What you’ll get

A permanent, senior operational leadership opportunity with exposure to a substantial renewable energy portfolio and significant regional growth.
