Is this you?

You’re a qualified Electrical or Mechatronic Engineer with experience in power system studies. You understand grid impact and compliance studies, network planning, and power quality assessments. You’re comfortable working independently, managing projects, and building strong client relationships. You’re also keen to be part of a team where your input is valued and your work directly contributes to shaping energy projects.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be working on power generation projects, conducting grid impact and compliance studies, assessing power quality, and supporting transmission and distribution network planning. Your role will also include project management – ensuring financial and resource planning runs smoothly. As part of your work, you’ll maintain and build relationships with existing and new clients, helping to develop sustainable energy solutions across South Africa and beyond.

With a local team in South Africa and additional support from the UK, they provide expert technical advice to developers, network operators, and regulators. The company has been around for over 25 years and is committed to delivering high-quality work while maintaining an open and supportive working environment.

What you’ll need

A degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering is essential. You should have experience with network modelling and analysis, ideally using DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, or ETAP. Knowledge of the South African Grid Code and transmission and distribution systems is also important. Any additional experience in protection coordination, arc flash studies, or scripting for automation would be a bonus.
