What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
As a Rooftop Sales Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Solar PV company. You’ll seamlessly integrate with the sales team, supporting them with designs and costing on rooftop mounting structures, understanding and applying mechanical and structural concepts. Your responsibilities include generating technical plans, bills of materials, and quotes for rooftop projects, interpreting professional drawings, facilitating site meetings, and conducting customer training sessions. Your proactive interaction with project stakeholders and support for project management and operational teams will be key in driving success. You’ll have the opportunity to understand our global organisational structure and collaborate with various departments, making every day a unique and engaging experience.
Where you’ll be doing it
Your base will be in Midrand, South Africa, but your role spans globally, working with a multidisciplinary team. You will be part of a growing and leading renewables company that is growing from strength to strength. What you’ll need
To excel in this role, you’ll need a relevant qualification and/or experience in a technical sales environment, preferably with a working background in architectural, civil, structural, and/or mechanical engineering. You should bring experience in a business/sales environment and a genuine interest in the Solar PV industry. Your toolbox should include a sound working knowledge of structural and mechanical concepts, proven experience with 2D and 3D drafting and design software, especially AutoCAD and Inventor, a professional approach to work, and impeccable attention to detail.
