Sales Representative (Stationary)

Location: Gauteng (Home-based with travel across the province)

Salary: Market related
Duration: Permanent

Own the Gauteng territory and turn opportunity into real sales growth.

Is this you?

You’re hungry, proactive and self-motivated. You thrive in a commission-driven environment and enjoy the challenge of opening new doors in a competitive market. Organised and resilient, you’re comfortable working independently from home and on the road. You’re practical, straight-talking and focused on results, with the drive to build something properly rather than wait for it to happen.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll take full responsibility for developing and growing sales across Gauteng, focusing on securing new product listings with franchise groups and independent customers while strengthening existing relationships. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll proactively open new accounts, expand product ranges, increase order frequency and grow overall basket size. You’ll manage a structured call cycle across Johannesburg, Pretoria and surrounding areas, introduce new products in store, engage with head offices where required, and track sales activity using basic reporting tools. You’ll also gather market intelligence to support strategic brand growth in the region.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a well-established international supplier within the office and stationery sector, representing a portfolio of globally recognised brands. With a strong footprint across Europe and growing presence locally, the business combines the backing of a global group with the agility of a smaller, entrepreneurial operation in South Africa. The culture is practical, performance-driven and supportive of individuals who take ownership and deliver results.

What you’ll need

You’ll bring proven sales experience, ideally within a supplier or brand-driven environment, and exposure to franchise groups or retail models in Gauteng. Experience in stationery or related FMCG sectors would be advantageous but is not essential. Strong selling ability, relationship-building skills and confidence in opening new accounts are key. You should be comfortable working independently, proficient in Excel for order tracking and basic analysis, and have a valid driver’s licence with your own reliable vehicle.

What you’ll get

This is a permanent opportunity following a six-month probation period, offering the chance to build and shape a high-potential territory. You’ll have the autonomy to run your region, the support of an established international group, and the ability to see the direct impact of your efforts through sales growth and commission earnings
