Sales Representative – Stationery

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

This is a hands-on sales role where you’ll work from home and be on the road visiting franchise and independent retail stores across the Western and Northern Cape. Your mission: secure listings, build client relationships, introduce new products, and grow order frequency and product range. You’ll identify new opportunities, pitch to independents and national chains, and drive consistent regional growth. You’ll play a key role in building the business in a territory with untapped potential – your success directly fuels your earnings.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be joining a small, agile team within a fast-growing distributor in the stationery and office products industry. With recent exclusive rights to well-known international brands, the business is investing in regional expansion across South Africa. The culture is performance-focused but flexible – ideal for self-starters who want autonomy and a chance to make a visible impact.

What you’ll need

You’ll need solid B2B sales experience, ideally in the stationery or FMCG sector, with a track record of working with franchises and independents. Experience dealing with groups like Office National or P&A is a plus. You’re confident working in Excel (basic pivot tables and order data), have your own car and a valid driver’s licence, and are comfortable working remotely. Afrikaans is advantageous.

What you’ll get

A basic salary plus commission: 2.5% on the first R250k sales/month, 2% on the next R250k, and 1.5% thereafter. Mileage is reimbursed, and you’ll benefit from flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow your region – and your income.
