You’ll lead the grid connection efforts for solar PV and BESS projects from development through commissioning. This includes designing MV/HV substations, performing grid code compliance analysis, engaging with Eskom and municipal stakeholders, and supporting internal teams with electrical modelling, costing, and specifications. You’ll be a technical authority across EPC, Development and O&M teams, representing the business in utility forums, and mentoring junior engineers. From feasibility to RFPs and technical documentation, you’ll own the process and help deliver complex, utility-scale renewable projects.Where you’ll be doing it

A degree in Electrical Engineering is essential, with at least 5–7 years’ experience in MV/HV engineering and renewable energy grid connection. You’ll need demonstrated experience with substation design, grid code compliance, and utility-scale solar PV or BESS projects. EPC, IPP, or consulting experience in the RE sector is key. Pr. Eng registration is advantageous.What you’ll get
