What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) at site level, delivering a robust compliance and risk management service. From developing and maintaining SHEQ systems and conducting audits, to facilitating incident investigations and overseeing training and competency assessments—you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring operational continuity and legal compliance. You’ll also liaise with clients, analyse leading indicators, and oversee reporting, with the support of SHEQ Officers where applicable.

Where you’ll be doing it

This is a hands-on site-based role for a well-established multinational in the mining and engineering services sector. Our client is known for its innovative approach and high safety standards, with a culture that empowers individuals and promotes professional development across its global operations. This will be on site in Swakopmund or Osino.

What you’ll need

You’ll have a Diploma in HSE Management (or similar), along with certifications such as SAMTRAC/COMSOC 1 & 2, ISO 9001/14001/45001 auditing, Competent A/B, and Incident Investigation. At least 8 years’ experience in a SHEQ role is essential, ideally in high-risk environments. You’ll bring advanced skills in risk management, auditing, communication, and team leadership, along with solid digital literacy and Microsoft Office competency.
