Shape the future of a cutting-edge SaaS platform in a senior strategic role

Is this you?

You’re a commercially savvy, highly analytical problem-solver with a passion for clean code and scalable architecture. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a hands-on development background with a strong foundation in software design principles. Adaptable and outcome-focused, you’re comfortable engaging at both strategic and technical levels. You excel in mentoring others and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are both innovative and practical.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll collaborate closely with the Principal Architect, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring the technical direction supports long-term goals. You’ll help design scalable, high-performance cloud-based SaaS solutions and mentor lead developers to implement best-in-class features. From prototyping and hands-on coding to introducing new tools and technologies, your work will directly shape the architecture of new products. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring the consistency, quality and alignment of initiatives across the engineering team.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a fast-growing UK-based SaaS company specialising in B2B sales and marketing technologies. Operating in a remote-first model, they are building a presence in South Africa. Known for their collaborative, high-performance culture, they are committed to innovation and excellence. The company offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic platform that’s central to their clients’ success, while working in a supportive environment that values growth and impact.

What you’ll need

You’ll bring 3–5+ years of experience in a software architect role, with a strong technical development background in cloud-first environments (preferably AWS). You should be confident designing microservice and event-driven architectures, and working with tools like NodeJS/NestJS, Vue, Redis, SQL Server and Snowflake. Familiarity with DevOps practices, AI architecture, and data warehousing (OLAP, OLTP, ETL) is also important. A degree in Computer Science or related field is highly valued.

What you’ll get

You’ll join a forward-thinking company offering a competitive salary, flexible remote-first working, and the chance to be part of building a South African tech hub. Enjoy a vibrant team culture, career growth, and the satisfaction of shaping impactful software solutions.
