Salary: Market related

Lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams in a fast-scaling SaaS environment

Is this you?

You’re a natural people leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for helping others grow. You’re driven by results, deeply collaborative, and skilled in both performance and people management. With a pragmatic mindset and a flair for clean code, you’re just as comfortable conducting one-to-ones as you are diving into code to uphold quality. You care about building scalable systems, improving processes, and creating a culture of high trust and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll lead a section of the engineering department, managing the performance and development of software engineers. You’ll oversee metrics, reviews, and coaching to help developers thrive, while ensuring the output meets the highest standards. From recruiting top talent to driving team engagement and retention, your impact will shape the department’s growth. You’ll also foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaborate on process optimisation to support faster, cleaner delivery.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a high-growth UK-based SaaS provider, delivering powerful B2B sales and marketing tools. With a remote-first approach and plans to grow their presence in South Africa, they offer a forward-thinking, people-first culture where innovation, performance and collaboration are central. You’ll join a dynamic team where your leadership will have a direct influence on company success.

What you’ll need

You’ll bring proven experience leading engineering teams in SaaS environments, along with a strong hands-on background in software engineering and DevOps. You understand SOLID principles, clean code, scalable system design, and performance monitoring. You’re comfortable mentoring others, managing team dynamics, and driving continuous improvement. A Computer Science degree or equivalent and a passion for secure, maintainable systems are key.

What you’ll get

A competitive salary and benefits package, the flexibility of remote-first working, and the chance to shape a growing tech team. You’ll join a company with strong values, a collaborative culture, and a commitment to personal development, community involvement, and long-term success.
