Salary: Market related

Work where the pressure’s real; drive technical sales in South Africa’s mining heartland.

Is this you?

You’re the type who doesn’t shy away from tough environments, you lean into them. You know your way around technical products, but more importantly, you know how to connect with the people who use them. You’re practical, solutions-focused, and driven by results. You take ownership, deliver on your word, and know how to build trust with clients who value straight talk and solid support.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be managing key mining accounts and building new relationships across the sector, offering technical valve solutions that keep operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll prepare and follow up on tenders, deliver site-based product training, and provide real-time support on installations and troubleshooting. You’ll also keep ahead of market demands and regulatory shifts, helping your clients navigate technical challenges and stay compliant. There’s a big opportunity to grow this space; if you’re someone who likes to take ownership, there’s room to make a real impact.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be part of a global engineering group with a solid reputation and strong South African roots. Known for manufacturing high-performance valve solutions, they’re trusted across demanding industries like mining, where safety, durability, and technical backup are non-negotiable. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and given the tools to succeed in a market that values experience and know-how.

What you’ll need

You’ll need Matric and a diploma in Business Management, plus 5 to 10 years’ experience in technical sales, ideally in the mining, industrial, or heavy engineering sectors. An engineering degree (mechanical or similar) would be a strong plus. You should understand mining applications, be confident with compliance, and able to offer practical, cost-effective solutions. CRM, Navision, and Microsoft Office skills are important, and you’ll need to be comfortable travelling regularly to mines and client sites.

What you’ll get

A respected territory, strong technical support, and a product that performs. You’ll be joining a business that values professionalism, reliability, and the people who get things done; especially in tough sectors like mining.
