What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be the first point of contact for walk-in and telephonic customers, assisting contractors and tradespeople with product selection and usage. From advising on concrete repair and waterproofing solutions to processing sales and handling payments, you’ll play a key role in daily operations. You’ll manage stock control, coordinate with the warehouse, conduct stock counts, and ensure accurate records. Maintaining a clean, organised retail space and ensuring smooth day-to-day sales administration will also form part of your responsibilities.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll join a well-established South African manufacturer specialising in construction chemicals, supplying directly to contractors and industry professionals. Known for their technical expertise and practical approach, they operate in a collaborative, hands-on environment with a strong focus on quality and customer support.

What you’ll need

You’ll need at least 2–5 years of experience in a hardware, construction materials, or contractor-facing environment. Exposure to waterproofing, concrete repair, or similar products is highly advantageous. You should be comfortable interpreting technical datasheets, advising customers, and using basic computer systems. Strong communication, numeracy, and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive and accountable attitude.
