What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll join the Visa Section of a Regional Consular Centre, where your work will include receiving, registering and processing visa applications, as well as handling enquiries at the counter. You’ll correspond with clients, stakeholders, and external service providers via email, telephone, and in person, ensuring professional and courteous interactions. Alongside this, you’ll provide administrative support to the Consular Centre, assisting the wider consular team when required.

Our client is a highly regarded international government body . Their Pretoria based regional office manages diplomatic and consular functions across Southern Africa. The organisation is known for its professionalism, strong ethical culture, and commitment to high standards. You’ll be part of a diverse, multicultural team, working in a supportive environment that values accuracy, integrity, and service excellence. You will be fully office based with a 40 hour work-week.

What you’ll need

To succeed, you must be a citizen of a Schengen Member State and hold a valid South African work permit. You need to have at least a matric qualification with previous experience in migration or consular work – ideally in an embassy, migration office, or international organisation, this is essential. You’ll bring strong analytical and organisational skills, excellent English communication and proficiency with MS Office. A client-service mindset and the ability to work well under pressure will round out your profile.
