You’re a qualified Accountant with a knack for IFRS and a passion for financial services. You’re ready to take on a pivotal role in managing the financial health of a group of international entities within a renowned financial services firm.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
As the Group Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of financial operations. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process for multiple international entities. Your role involves ensuring accuracy in financial records, including bank reconciliations, payroll journals, and IFRS 16 lease accounting. You’ll enjoy the challenge of preparing financial statements, balance sheet reports, and board report packs, providing valuable insights to support decision-making across the group. You will also be responsible for regulatory filings.

What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you need to be a qualified Accountant (SAIPA) with previous experience in IFRS and financial services. Strong technical skills, proficiency in accounting systems, and advanced Excel skills are essential. Your attention to detail, proactive nature, and ability to thrive under pressure will set you apart. You also need to have good knowledge of different jurisdictional tax requirements.
