In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for handling client-facing commercial legal work, from winning and executing commercial agreements to invoicing. Dive into the complexities of mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, B-BBEE ownership transactions, and construction agreements. On the labour front, you’ll provide outsourced consulting, manage employee transfers, and navigate the disciplinary processes. Moreover, your role will include legal due diligence, general commercial advice, and active business development, ensuring you’re always at the forefront of client relationships and sector requirements.

We’re looking for an admitted attorney with at least two years of post-qualification experience focusing on corporate commercial and labour law, your developed commercial awareness and outcome-oriented approach will be key. Exposure to litigation would be useful. Membership in professional bodies like SASLAW is advantageous. We’re looking for someone that has strong technical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. You’ll have a strong service orientation. A “client first” culture and the ability to develop strong relationships with clients and take responsibility for these relationships. You’re eager to learn, are mature, take initiative and are discreet in handling confidential information.
