What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll be maintaining Energy Storage Systems across multiple sites in South Africa, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Your tasks will range from performing routine inspections, annual capacity tests, and troubleshooting to software and firmware upgrades. You’ll also support customers through phone diagnostics and manage spare parts inventory. By assisting the system engineering group, you’ll provide valuable feedback to enhance product development.

What you’ll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll need the flexibility to travel frequently and/or be based on-site. An Electrical Engineering qualification is required, paired with solid experience in electrical or multi-skilled maintenance. Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power electronics, HVAC, and proficiency in English will be essential. Knowledge of HV/LV systems and the SANS 10142-1 standard is crucial. A valid driver’s license and competency in basic IT tasks will also be key to your success. Knowledge of Mandarin would be advantageous.
