Drive Growth Across Africa – Join a Global Industry Leader as a Business Development Leader.

Is this you?

You’re a commercially astute professional with a proven track record in building sales pipelines and unlocking new business opportunities. You enjoy leading from the front, forming strong relationships, and closing deals that drive long-term growth. You’re curious, proactive, and thrive in a role where autonomy and results are key. With your strong negotiation and planning skills, you bring confidence and energy to every meeting – whether it’s with clients or internal teams.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll take the lead on developing and executing a business growth strategy that balances revenue expansion with client satisfaction. Your day-to-day will include identifying new markets and customer needs, arranging and leading meetings with prospective clients, and representing the company’s innovative mobility solutions. You’ll draft and manage sales contracts, provide ongoing client support, and ensure customer success long after the deal is closed. You’ll also play a pivotal role in developing the sales function across South Africa and the broader African continent, coaching junior team members along the way.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a global leader in high-quality mobility solutions, supplying castors and wheels across multiple industries including medical, industrial, and logistics. With a strong heritage of German engineering, the company is known for its innovation, precision, and customer-centric approach. Their South African operation is agile, performance-driven and backed by a supportive, collaborative culture that values long-term partnerships and high-impact solutions.

What you’ll need

You’ll bring at least five years of experience in a business development or technical sales leadership role, with a strong track record of delivering growth into Africa. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is advantageous. Experience in CRM systems like Salesforce and proficiency in MS Office is important. You’ll need excellent communication, negotiation and time management skills, along with market knowledge relevant to mobility or manufacturing sectors.

What you’ll get

A competitive salary package with performance-linked incentives, along with car, fuel and medical/pension allocations. The chance to work with a global brand, and the opportunity to shape sales strategies across the continent. You’ll be part of a team that encourages ownership, continuous development, and long-term career growth.
