What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

The role involves driving business growth through institutional sales, client management, and business development. You’ll initiate and nurture client relationships, identify sales opportunities, and manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, using methods like calls, meetings, and networking. Key responsibilities include maintaining CRM records, providing market insights, and articulating the company’s investment philosophy and products to clients, prospects, and consultants. You’ll coordinate RFP processes, oversee client reporting, manage ongoing relationships, and work closely with internal teams. With a focus on professionalism and integrity, you’ll also engage in industry networking to expand assets under management and contribute to the firm’s success. Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be joining one of the top asset managers in the country who has revolutionised how they manage funds by adapting a systematic investment philosophy which has enabled them to grow year on year with top fund performance. You’ll be based in their satellite office in Johannesburg which allows you to work closer to your clients, the head office is based in Cape Town.

What you’ll need

To be considered for this great opportunity you need to have done this before and been good at it so a solid track record in institutional business development in asset management is essential. You will also need to have a completed professional qualification, your own reliable transport and at least 2 years working experience in asset management/investment. Preference will be given to EE candidates.
