What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You’ll be a pivotal part of the energy transition, supporting sales efforts by translating client requirements into technical and commercial proposals for solar PV and battery energy storage solutions. This includes reviewing RFPs, leading technical modelling and costing, engaging clients directly, coordinating across departments, and helping secure contract wins. You’ll assess grid regulations, optimise project configurations, and work with experts to deliver bespoke utility-scale solutions that make a real impact.

Our client is a leading global player in the renewable energy space, with a strong presence in South Africa and a legacy of over 5,500 MW of installed clean energy worldwide. Their focus spans project development, EPC, and O&M for solar, wind, and hybrid systems. What you’ll need
You’ll bring an engineering degree and at least 5 years’ experience working in solar, wind, or BESS development. You should be fluent in system modelling and financial feasibility studies, with hands-on knowledge of tools like HOMER and PVSyst. A sound understanding of South African energy regulations, wheeling, and tariff structures is essential. You’re also comfortable in cross-functional teams and adept at client communication and contract negotiation.
