What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of planning and managing engineering projects with a strong focus on production scheduling. You will engage closely with the drawing office to ensure designs are translated accurately into production. Quality checking of outsourced fabricated components will be a critical responsibility, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards before they are integrated into in-house assembly. You’ll oversee the assembly of equipment, ensuring all projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and performance expectations. With constant collaboration between sales, draughting, and production teams, you’ll ensure seamless coordination and project success. Your leadership will inspire the team to continuously innovate and improve processes.

Based in Centurion with regular travel to clients and suppliers. What you’ll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a degree or diploma in Engineering (preferably in mechanical or electrical disciplines). Your experience in project management within the production and heavy industries sector will be essential. You should be well-versed in production scheduling, quality control, and overseeing the assembly of equipment. Proficiency in project management software, as well as strong leadership and communication skills, will help you excel. Experience with working with cross-functional teams, including sales, draughting, and production, is highly valued.
