You have a customer-centric sales approach and are looking for a company that can deliver on your sales promise to your customer. You love the thrill of hunting for new business, but you also love managing the key accounts that you bring in.
Reporting directly into the young and dynamic Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with both customers and suppliers with the ultimate goal to maximise long-term sales and profit margins. This exciting role will see you growing the business in the Food and Personal Care sector selling high quality products.
This is a very hands on role and differs to “generic” sales roles in that you’ll be identifying clients and products, conducting sales visits, getting involved in lab-scale tests and production trials. You’ll develop long term client relationships and this role will really see you taking 360 degree responsibility. Which means you’ll get involved in providing samples to clients, getting the product approved, going through the full quote process, getting rates from suppliers and dealing with logistics. So you’ll be in control of the full sales cycle.
Our client is a dynamic, strong and stable family owned and run business and is a leading supplier of ingredients and processed raw materials in South Africa. They have an impressive international supplier list and a diverse, stable client base.
Looking for a true hunter by nature. A matric qualification plus a min of 2 years’ experience in an external sales position selling tangible products. It would be great if you have experience selling food ingredients and personal care products to manufacturers but as long as it’s a tangible product and you’ve got a history of success in meeting and exceeding targets. You’ll need to have your own car and driver’s license. You’ll need to work well under pressure, be process driven and have strong follow up and follow through.
