What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

This role gives you the opportunity to own your sales territory, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to after-sales support. You’ll build lasting client relationships, prepare quotations and presentations, conduct site visits, recommend tailored electrical and automation solutions, provide technical guidance and work closely with internal technical, logistics and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery. You’ll enjoy this role because every day brings new customer challenges, meaningful technical conversations and the opportunity to grow into a recognised specialist within the automation and variable speed drive market.

What you’ll need

A Matric qualification is essential, while an electrical qualification such as N3-N6, Diploma, BTech or similar will be advantageous. You’ll bring at least 2 years’ experience in B2B technical sales, preferably selling industrial, electrical or automation equipment. Knowledge of variable speed drives, motors, soft starters or automation products, together with strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, will set you up for success. Experience with ERP or CRM systems and a genuine passion for developing technical expertise will be highly beneficial.
