You are a results driven and experienced Estimator responsible for delivering cost-effective and efficient solutions to clients. You have strong technical knowledge of metalwork and estimation processes.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for metalwork, engineering and fabrication projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
You will collaborate with project teams to design layouts and determine the costs of metalwork, including sizes and specifications. You will create detailed quotes based on project requirements, tender specifications and client needs, including materials, equipment and labour costs. You will also interact with clients to gather project information, understanding their technical needs and provide solutions that meet their expectations. You will utilise your strong knowledge of engineering, boiler making and estimation in the mechanical field to contribute to effective project planning and execution. You will be working with the sales team to achieve sales targets and KPI’s while ensuring the profitability of projects.

What you’ll need
Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in the fabrication, furnace and mining industry. You have strong technical knowledge of metalwork and estimation processes as well as a demonstrated ability to achieve KPIs. You are proficient in Microsoft Outlook and experienced with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and quoting tools. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A technical or engineering degree is preferred, though relevant experience and expertise will also be considered.
