We’re on the search for a dynamic leader to spearhead our finance team, drive process improvements and ignite our financial future.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial future in this highly driven accounting team. Reporting directly to the down-to-earth CFO (who has a great sense of humour) you will take full responsibility for leading your direct team of three employees who have a further six employees reporting to them.
The business has grown phenomenally over the years and diversified. The CFO needs to be freed up to focus on the strategic focus of the business. So, we’re looking for someone that’s hands on, that is eager to drive change, put systems and processes in place and lead the team to greater success. They want to take the business to the next level and they need YOU! And your inspiring energy, drive and motivation to succeed at anything you put your mind to.
You’ll take the reins of our finance team and set the course for financial success. You’ll identify inefficiencies and supercharge the financial processes. The efficiency guru we’ve been waiting for. You’ll lead, mentor and motivate the finance team to reach new horizons. Your dynamic leadership will foster greatness.
The company is all about transforming their business landscape. You’ll work closely with the CEO who is incredibly business savvy, dynamic and the team are supportive in the vision to grow the business which means you’ll develop as the company grows.
Where you’ll be doing it
You will work at an innovative market disrupter in the property and logistics industry, who has shown tremendous growth with beautiful offices in the heart of Cape Town. This is an in office, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm role. You’ll work with a down-to-earth and driven team who work well as a team.
They’re fast paced and the environment can also be described as very much entrepreneurial and profit focused but the added bonus is that they’re also very focused on building strong relationships with their clients and assisting them where possible, so there’s a bigger focus overall that’s not just profit focused. They’re moving from an entrepreneurial phase to a more corporate phase, your role will be crucial for this.
This role will be a fit for someone that is happy to get stuck in, that comes from an entreprenurial smaller environment where they’ve been hands on as opposed to a big corporate. It’s important to note that you will need to be happy to be in office everyday.
What you’ll need
We are looking for a young, dynamic professional that is not just experienced but young, innovative and brimming with energy to redefine the game. You’re a qualified CA (SA) with 8 years post article experience. We’re open to looking at different industry experience but the preference would be for someone with property and / or logistics experience.
You’re a go getter and you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in! Someone that will blossom in a dynamic, fast paced environment that is driven by professionals that are passionate about the business. You’ll need to have proven leadership experience and skills, exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Additionally, you have an innovative mindset, a passion for efficiency, strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
