You’re a qualified Accountant with a knack for IFRS and a passion for financial services. You’re ready to take on a pivotal role in managing the financial health of a group of international entities within a renowned financial services firm.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
As the Group Accountant, you will manage financial tasks for specific Group entities, including weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, coordinating with billing and accounts payable teams to ensure accurate financial entries and expense postings. Your role involves preparing monthly accruals, payroll journals, IFRS 16 lease accounting journals, and financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets. You’ll also handle intercompany balance reconciliations, adhere to financial regulations, complete VAT and tax returns, assist with regulatory reporting, prepare cash flow forecasts and board report packs, and liaise with auditors while addressing any ad hoc financial queries.

What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you need to be a qualified Accountant (SAIPA) with previous experience in IFRS and financial services. Strong technical skills, proficiency in accounting systems, and advanced Excel skills are essential. Your attention to detail, proactive nature, and ability to thrive under pressure will set you apart. You also need to have good knowledge of different jurisdictional tax requirements.
