As the Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge engineering solutions for a diverse range of projects. Your role involves analyzing specifications, conducting risk assessments, and leading a team of Engineers to deliver top-notch project outcomes. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders, manage external suppliers, and drive innovative solutions, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You’ll be working in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town with a leading player in the Marine Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine Infrastructure, and Heavy Engineering sectors, that is a trailblazer in engineering excellence. What you’ll need

A large amount of initiative and personal ownership combined with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in mechanical designing for marine mining, offshore projects, dredging, tunnelling, heavy industry or oil & gas is necessary. Proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of industry standards are important.

Strong problem solving, communication, and project management skills are required. Some travel may be involved.

Willingness to work a demanding schedule and willing to be flexible with hours in order to meet required schedules and deadlines combined with a proven track record in delivering on high pressure projects.
