Shape the future of the next generation of Charted Accountants

Is this you?

You’re one of those rare HR professionals who understands the world of audit and professional services. Whether you’ve worked in a SAICA Training Office, supported audit trainees throughout their articles, or partnered closely with Assurance teams, you know there’s far more to the role than recruitment. You enjoy building relationships, solving problems, ensuring that processes are adhered to, and helping people succeed throughout their professional journey. You’re equally comfortable interviewing graduates, navigating SAICA regulations, managing employee relations and performance conversations, and partnering with senior stakeholders. If you enjoy variety and want to make a real impact on the future of an audit practice, this could be exactly what you’re looking for.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

No two days will look the same. You’ll take ownership of the full trainee accountant lifecycle, from attracting top graduate talent and attending university career events to managing SAICA training contracts, supporting trainees throughout their articles, overseeing performance discussions and ensuring the firm remains compliant with SAICA requirements. Along the way you’ll become the trusted point of contact for trainees, reviewers and business leaders, while supporting employee relations, onboarding, payroll changes, leave administration and various people-related initiatives across the Assurance division. It’s a role where you’ll genuinely influence people’s careers while partnering closely with leadership to ensure the department continues to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be joining a well-established international audit and advisory firm that has built a strong reputation for developing people and investing in long-term careers. This is an in office role and is based in Randburg. Their collaborative culture encourages learning, growth and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about developing future Chartered Accountants.

What you’ll need

You’ll bring experience within a SAICA Training Office, audit firm or professional services environment where you have gained exposure to trainee management, graduate recruitment or HR business partnering. Experience working with SAICA regulations, training contracts, trainee administration or systems is required and a bonus will be if you have experience utilising systems such as TCMS, EAT or GreatSoft. You have a relevant administration or HR qualification along with experience in managing the full talent lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, placement of candidates as well as performance management. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys working with people, can juggle multiple priorities, communicates confidently with stakeholders at all levels and has a natural eye for detail.

What you’ll get

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible role that blends talent acquisition, HR, employee relations, SAICA compliance and people development. You’ll play a key role in shaping the experience of future Chartered Accountants while working in an environment that values collaboration, professionalism and continuous learning. If you’re looking for a position where you can make a genuine difference to both people and the business, you’ll find it here.
