You’re a qualified electrician with a Wireman’s Licence and hands-on experience in the solar PV industry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, solving complex technical challenges with a methodical and analytical mindset. You have excellent communication skills, are highly computer literate, and enjoy working with systems, software, and troubleshooting electronic components. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and take pride in ensuring that solar PV systems operate at peak efficiency.
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing string faults, monitoring system performance, and maintaining solar PV assets to achieve optimal efficiency. You’ll work with various inverter types, update firmware, and troubleshoot faults using online monitoring tools. Your role will also involve handling communications equipment, including 3G routers, ethernet switches, and inverter managers, ensuring seamless data flow and system performance. In addition, you’ll conduct site inspections, replace damaged solar panels and electrical components, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. Your work will be hands-on, varied, and essential to maximising energy output.

You’ll need to be a qualified electrician with a Wireman’s Licence and at least 2–3 years of experience working with solar PV systems. A National Diploma in Engineering would be beneficial. A valid working-at-heights certificate (or willingness to obtain one) is required. Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and network communications, is essential. Above all, you must be proactive, meticulous, and self-motivated, with a passion for renewable energy.
