What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll take full ownership of managing operations across multiple water treatment facilities in the Port Elizabeth region. Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll oversee production and maintenance teams, ensuring performance meets stringent KPIs and client specifications. You’ll lead process optimisation, cost control, safety compliance, and plant health monitoring. Your role will involve regular client engagement, reporting, and the implementation of best-in-class operational practices driving continuous improvement, quality output, and client satisfaction.

What you’ll need

You’ll need a B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering (Civil or Mechanical qualifications will be considered with relevant experience). A minimum of 5 years’ experience in advanced water treatment is required, ideally with exposure to technologies such as RO, UF, precipitation, and clarification. Previous experience in staff and plant management is essential. Strong administrative, reporting, and computer skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal, client-facing and troubleshooting abilities, will round out your toolkit for success.
