What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
As the Plant Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all plant machinery and manufacturing processes. You’ll develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive process optimisation to improve production efficiency. What you’ll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. You should have 5-10 years of experience in plant maintenance and engineering within a steel manufacturing or heavy industrial setting. A strong understanding of wire rope production processes or similar metal-forming industries would be a major advantage. Your technical expertise should include mechanical systems, automation, SCADA, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CMMS. Additionally, exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills will be key to your success.
