In this role as a Process (Mechanical) Engineer, you will be a vital part of our engineering department, contributing to equipment design and process optimisation. Your role will be filled with a variety of engaging responsibilities:

• Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyse and evaluate existing processes to identify areas for improvement, enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, improving product quality, and reducing costs.

• Equipment Design: Design, develop, and scale up new equipment and processes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.

• Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to guarantee the successful implementation of production methods, offering your expertise to ensure the viability of projects.

• Automation and Control Systems: Oversee automation, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and the integration of IoT devices and sensors, enhancing our control systems and data collection.

• Data Analytics: Manage data analytics activities, including data collection, processing, and analysis methods, ensuring that valuable insights are extracted to drive informed decisions.

• Asset Management: Oversee all activities related to assets, including inventory management, asset tracking, inspections, and lifecycle planning.

• Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and manage preventative maintenance, ensuring the continued reliability and performance of our equipment.

• ISO Activities: Manage all ISO activities related to maintenance, ensuring compliance and excellence in our operations.

 

Where you’ll be doing it

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B. Eng/ B. Sc)
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including CAD software
  • Understanding of control systems, PLC’s, SCADA
  • Experience in data analytics

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyse and evaluate existing processes to identify areas of improvement
  • Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve product quality, and reduce costs
  • Design, develop, and scale-up new equipment and processes
  • Conduct feasibility studies to ensure the successful implementation of production methods
  • Oversee automation, PLC programming, SCADA systems
  • Integrate IoT devices and sensors, such as temperature, pressure, flow meters, RFID tags, etc.
  • Oversee data analytics – data collection, processing, and analysis methods
  • Oversee all activities pertaining to assets, including inventory management, asset tracking, asset inspections, and lifecycle planning
  • Schedule and manage preventative maintenance
  • Manage all ISO activities related to maintenance
