You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical construction, skilled in managing projects from initiation through to successful completion. You excel at ensuring the timely delivery of projects within set budgets and quality standards, while effectively managing project teams and resolving challenges. Your leadership and organizational abilities enable you to coordinate cross-functional teams, handle multiple stakeholders, and ensure that projects meet both technical and safety standards.
As the Project Manager, you will take full accountability for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the electrical and construction sector. Your responsibilities will include defining the project scope, objectives, and deliverables. You will create detailed project schedules and timelines to ensure the project is completed on time. Allocating and managing resources effectively, including labour, equipment, and materials, will be a key part of your role. You will coordinate closely with stakeholders to ensure that project requirements and expectations are met, and you will ensure that quality standards and specifications are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will identify and mitigate project risks and challenges before they impact project delivery, overseeing daily operations, and providing guidance to Site Managers and other team members.

To excel in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of proven experience in managing electrical projects. Your experience should include leadership in managing multiple teams and familiarity with project documentation and various contract types, including JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, and GCC. You will need strong knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, BCEA, LRA, and EEA. Expertise in project planning tools such as Microsoft Office, MS Project, CCS, and BuildSmart is required. A solid understanding of electrical construction principles and technical testing is necessary, as well as the ability to handle contract management, including sub-contractors, budgets, and timelines. You should also have excellent interpersonal, negotiating, and conflict management skills, along with strong organizational abilities to lead teams effectively and ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. A Project Management qualification is desirable.
