What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You’ll be taking charge of the full accounting function for a portfolio of commercial properties. This includes preparing and maintaining general ledgers, posting journal entries, and managing inter-company loans. You’ll conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations, prepare age analysis reports, and support compliance and audit processes. Your day-to-day will also involve working closely with operations to ensure accurate processing of municipal charges and vendor invoices, while always looking for ways to streamline and improve financial processes.

What you’ll need
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or studying towards one) and completed articles OR a financial tertiary qualification like a Diploma with at least 3 years of accounting experience within a property/utilities type industry. Previous exposure to property finance and municipal utility accounting will set you apart. You’ll need strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and lookups) and ideally experience with property finance systems like MDA or MRI. Being a South African citizen and available to work onsite is essential.
