What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You’ll be working directly under and alongside the CEO/CIO and supporting the Portfolio Manager. You’ll be doing the full investment research and analysis function on local and global markets.
Where you’ll be doing it
You’ll be joining a boutique asset manager with a solid track record and R5-6 million AUM. They invest 65% globally (mostly ETF) and 35% locally (stock picking). They pride themselves in the construction of specialised investment solutions and segregated portfolios for private individuals, family offices, corporate entities, trusts and institutions. This is achieved through active asset allocation and discretionary portfolio management. You’ll be office based in beautiful offices in Newlands surrounded by about 15 employees. The people are like a family with most working there for over 10 years already.
What you’ll need
An investment degree and CFA is needed as well as 6-8 years’ experience where you have gained solid experience as an Investment Analyst. You’ll be fully office based in Newlands so ideally you need to be living in the southern suburbs or CBD of Cape Town.
