You’re a natural leader with a deep understanding of steel fabrication, a flair for business development, and the drive to grow a division from the front. You combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, thrive under pressure, and love the challenge of building new business while ensuring operational excellence. You’re structured, hands-on, and ready to take ownership of both revenue and results.
You’ll split your time between driving sales and overseeing operations. Three days a week will be focused on new business generation, targeting R20 million in annual revenue, developing client relationships, and closing deals. The remainder of your time will be spent leading the full operational spectrum—production, quality control, draughting, estimation, and project delivery—ensuring everything runs on time and to spec. You’ll play a key role in building internal structures, mentoring your team, and setting performance benchmarks, all while contributing strategically to innovation and growth.
You’ll join a leading steel fabrication and engineering business based in JHB West, renowned for its technically advanced solutions—particularly within the mining industry. With strong roots in the local market and growing demand across South Africa and beyond, this is a high-performing, forward-thinking environment where commercial initiative and leadership are rewarded.
You must bring at least 10 years’ experience in steel fabrication. Ventilation systems, Fans, or Heavy Industry Applications are advantageous. With a proven track record in business development and sales. Your technical know-how in fabrication must be matched with operational and project management capability. Experience in estimating, pricing, and team leadership is essential, along with the ability to build or refine divisional systems and processes. A background in ventilation, fan, or electrical integration will be highly regarded
You’ll receive a competitive market-related salary, plus a potential for a performance-based profit share aligned with divisional success. This would need to be mutually agreed upon. There’s also a clear pathway to senior leadership within a business that values innovation, initiative, and results.
