You have expertise in specialised technical sales of products in the food, chemical or animal feed industries and a natural flair for building long lasting and beneficial relationships. You love the thrill of hunting for new business, but you also love taking great care of the key accounts that you bring in. You’re also a great Project Manager and you’d love to be part of a young and ambitious team.
In this role, you’ll spearhead projects in new market segments while ensuring alignment with key performance indicators. Building and maintaining robust relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors and partners will be a priority.
You’ll be responsible for growing the existing customer base and identifying and developing new prospective clients. Additionally, providing technical support during lab-scale tests, accurate market information reporting and maintaining consistent communication with suppliers on sales projects are essential aspects of this position.
You’ll do quite a bit of travelling to visit farmers and mines in SA. Reporting directly into the General Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and suppliers with the ultimate goal to build up sales and profit margins in this new division. This exciting role will see you growing the business in the agricultural and mining sector selling high quality products.

With an impressive international supplier list and a diverse, stable client base they are on a rapid path for growth. They’re always looking at ways to diversify their product offering and this role is a direct response to that. Their team is young and the office is based in Rivonia. For the probation period, this role will be an everyday office role. Once probation period has been completed, there will be two days in office.
We’re looking for a combination of a hunter profile and a relationship builder. A matric qualification plus a min of at least 5 years’ experience in an external sales position selling agricultural related products / animal feed to farmers or mining, will see you qualify for this role. A degree in fields related to animal nutrition, food or chemicals would provide significant advantages. Alternatively, if you have technical sales experience selling products related to food or chemicals we can consider. We’re looking for someone with project management experience as well. You’ll need to be fluent in Afrikaans, proficient in MS Office with your own reliable transport. You’ll need to be happy with travelling for business.

Attractive package which includes a basic salary, travel allowance, medical aid and a year-end company bonus. You will receive a company card for expenses such as petrol.
