You’ve become a specialist in wealth administration and know exactly what it takes to support Financial Advisors to ensure all runs smoothly in the background so that they can do what needs to be done to look after their clients. You love doing administration and this is where you want to keep developing your career, you are not the type of person who wants to become a Financial Planner yourself.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

Your duties will include new business processing, switches, repurchases, portfolio statements, client queries, maintenance of data on client management systems and providing assistance to existing planners. You will also do client servicing which includes investment reports, client meetings, compliance requirements, answering the phone, meet and greet at reception, serving client refreshments from time to time. You’ll also get to jump in and assist in other areas of the business when needed, even when it’s not something you normally do.

Where you’ll be doing it

You’ll be joining a small and highly successful wealth management firm with 8 employees so it will feel like you are joining a family, you won’t feel like just a number. They have corporate offices based in Rosebank and you will be fully office based to enable you to offer the best possible support to colleagues and clients.

What you’ll need

Your experience is what will make you successful in this role so you need to have at least 5 years’ experience working as a Financial Advisor Assistant at an independent brokerage with extensive experience in investment products and providers. You need to have exceptional attention to detail, have a focussed approach to work, be open to taking direction and guidance, have a positive can-do attitude, be well presented and have impeccable written and verbal English communication skills as you will be dealing directly with clients. Due to the industry you will be working in, you need to have a clear credit history.

You’ll be joining a team who have been with the business for many years and you will have 3 other Administrators to guide you in your role. A market related salary is offered as well as a 13th cheque and the potential to earn profit share.
