You enjoy solving complex failures, strengthening governance and helping junior administrators grow, while collaborating confidently with architecture, engineering, infrastructure and security specialists.What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
Taking ownership of a large-scale ETL environment, you will manage installations, upgrades, metadata repositories, access controls, versioning and multi-environment code promotion. You will tune performance, forecast capacity, automate health checks and recovery tasks using Bash, and lead root cause analysis for production failures. The remit also covers disaster recovery testing, security integration, vendor escalation and platform modernisation, including cloud migration.Where you’ll be doing it
Within a hybrid, enterprise technology environment, the platform supports high-volume production data operations where resilience, security and governance matter. You will work closely with data engineering leads, enterprise architects and infrastructure and security teams, balancing immediate operational stability with longer-term platform strategy.What you’ll need
Eight or more years of hands-on ETL platform administration experience is essential, including enterprise metadata management, branching, version control and environment promotion. Your background should cover Unix or Linux, Bash scripting, enterprise scheduling and monitoring, database connectivity and performance tuning, disaster recovery, networking, directory services and authentication. Cloud platforms, CI/CD practices and regulated enterprise environments are also important.What you’ll get
