The Most Underrated Interview Move – Expressing Interest!
Preparing for an interview often means researching the company, practising common interview questions, and making sure you present yourself professionally.
While all of these are important, there’s one simple step that many candidates overlook, and it can make all the difference.
Express your interest in the role.
It may sound obvious, but many hiring managers walk away from an interview unsure whether a candidate is genuinely excited about the opportunity.
Even if you have all the right skills and experience, a lack of enthusiasm can sometimes be interpreted as a lack of interest, and that could cost you the job.
Before the interview comes to an end, take a moment to let the interviewer know how you feel about the opportunity.
A few sincere words can leave a lasting impression.
You could say something like:
